I don't like the uses of fear as a means of convincing. Some information you need to know does incite fear. "Don't dive in a shallow pool or you're likely to break your neck". That is good healthy information that all good parents hope will scare their kids from attempting to dive in shallow pools. A little fear makes you think first. It's healthy fear that reminds us that if we continue to eat an entire sleeve of cookies day, we'll never lose that ten pounds.
I find that if we're given information that's too scary we're more likely to disbelieve it and think, "So what product are you selling?" I have no product to endorse. I profit nothing except the to think that I helped someone make an informed choice. I premise this blog with a talk on fear because as you do your research you're not going to like what you find.
I'd like to encourage you to get curious about food additives called "excitotoxins".
Have you ever wondered why you can't stop eating those chips long after the hunger's been subdued? Why do you crave the same junk food and sugary drink day after day?
Ask:
What are excitotoxins?
What do they do to my health and that of my family?
How do I know if they're in my food?
This is not one to ignore. I would encourage you to do the research. Knowledge empowers us to make wise choices.
Here are a couple links to help with your research:
